Some do escape taxes.

But COULD DEATH BE DEFEATED?

About 150,000 people die every 24 hours—mostly by unforeseen circumstances. How can the fear of death be overcome? The answer is found right here! Please listen to/read this special message because it's deadly serious and it's highly unlikely you have ever heard this before! (You'll be glad you did)

Every one of us has broken God's law, the 10 Commandments (Exodus 20:3-17):

  1. "You shall have no other gods before Me" (Matthew 22:37 reads, "And [Jesus] said to him, 'You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.'"

  2. "You shall not make for yourself an idol" (people, images, or things regarded with blind admiration, adoration, or devotion) "You shall not worship them or serve them"

  3. "You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain" (blaspheme; use God’s name without real significance, value, or importance; as baseless or worthless)

  4. "Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy" (reserve one day a week for a special time spent resting from work and refocusing on God)

  5. "Honor (value and respect) your father and your mother"

  6. "You shall not murder" (1 John 3:15 declares, "Everyone who hates his brother is a murderer; and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him.")

  7. "You shall not commit adultery" (In Matthew 5:28 Jesus says, "but I say to you that everyone who looks at a woman with lust (intense, overmastering sexual desire for anyone other than your wife or husband) for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.")

  8. "You shall not steal" (Regardless of the value)

  9. "You shall not bear false witness" (lie)

  10. "You shall not covet" (be jealous of the possessions, advantages, and successes of others, envious of what you don’t have, or discontent with what you have)

Proverbs 20:9
"Who can say, 'I have cleansed my heart, I am pure from my sin'?"

Romans 3:23:
"for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,"

After death, each and every person will stand in judgment before God, the Creator of all, who is perfect and knows everything:

Hebrews 9:27
"And inasmuch as it is appointed for men to die once and after this comes judgment,"

Romans 14:12
"So then each one of us will give an account of himself to God."

Hebrews 4:13
"And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are open and laid bare to the eyes of Him with whom we have to do."

God is so good that He won’t let evil go unpunished. He won’t just punish murderers, child molesters, rapists, etc. but all liars, thieves, blasphemers, and adulterers. The Bible warns that all who are found guilty will be sentenced to hell (God's prison) for all eternity. For prisoners in hell, death reigns victorious over them and their suffering never ends.

1 Corinthians 6:9-10
"Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God."

Revelation 21:8
"But for the cowardly and unbelieving and abominable and murderers and immoral persons and sorcerers and idolaters and all liars, their part will be in the lake that burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death."

Matthew 25:41
"Then He will also say to those on His left, ‘Depart from Me, accursed ones, into the eternal fire which has been prepared for the devil and his angels;'"

However, God does not delight in your torment! That's why God sent His Son Jesus (God in the flesh) He lived a perfect life (did everything God requires and did not do anything God forbids) and willingly suffered to death on a cross for the sins of the world! Then Jesus arose from the dead (Matthew 28:5-9, 1 Corinthians 15:3-4), proving that death has been defeated! All who are in Christ have defeated death with Him and are given the FREE GIFT of everlasting life!

Here's the verdict: You broke God’s law, the 10 Commandments, but Jesus paid your fine in FULL. That means God can legally dismiss your case! Not because you've earned it (you've earned hell), but because God is rich in mercy toward those who's sins are pardoned because of Jesus' blood! Jesus who had no sin took the justice that you deserve for your sin!

Romans 5:8
"But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."

Isaiah 53:6
"All of us like sheep have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way
;

But the Lord has caused the iniquity of us all to fall on Him."

Isaiah 53:5
"But He was pierced through for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the chastening for our well-being fell upon Him, and by His scourging we are healed."

John 3:16-18
"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son."

Acts 4:12
"Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved."

John 14:6
"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.'"

Matthew 7:13-14
"'Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it. For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it.'"

John 6:40
"For this is the will of My Father, that everyone who beholds the Son and believes in Him will have eternal life, and I Myself will raise him up on the last day."

1 Corinthians 15:55
“O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?”

How do you inherit this FREE GIFT? God commands you to REPENT and PUT YOUR TRUST IN JESUS ALONE! Repentance and complete trust go together like the two wings of an airplane. What do the two mean and look like?

Repentance is a change of mind. It means that you accept that you're a sinner who deserves hell. It also means that you are turning away from living your own way to make Jesus your Lord (Master, Owner, Ruler)

To trust in Jesus alone means rather than trusting in yourself, other people, trying to earn God's forgiveness by trying to be a good person, religion, etc, you remove your trust from those things you used to trust in and place your trust in Jesus alone to save you. You rely on His finished work on the cross.

You may be thinking, "How? Where do I start? What does this look like?" There's no magical words you could say and there's nothing you could do to earn everlasting life. God is concerned with your heart. So speak to Him from your heart (prayer) If you are sorry for your sin, desire to be in never-ending fellowship with God, and want his FREE GIFT of everlasting life, tell Him. He does not cast out the humble and He is close to the broken-hearted. He is mighty and willing to save!

Mark 1-:14-15
"Now after John had been taken into custody, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of God, and saying, 'The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe in the gospel.'"

Luke 13:3

"I tell you, no, but unless you repent, you will all likewise perish."

1 John 1:9

"If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."

Acts 3:19

"Therefore repent and return, so that your sins may be wiped away, in order that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord;"

John 6:37

"All that the Father gives Me will come to me, and the one who comes to Me I will certainly not cast out."

Ezekiel 33:11
"Say to them, 'As I live!' declares the Lord God, 'I take no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but rather that the wicked turn from his way and live. Turn back, turn back from your evil ways! Why then will you die, O house of Israel?'"

Romans 6:23
"For the wages of sin is death, but the FREE GIFT of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."

Ephesians 2:8-9
"For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast."

Romans 10:10
"For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved."

This is what it means to be "born again" You were spiritually dead, but now you live because Jesus put His life in you! (Read the account of when Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead in John 11:1-44) This new life makes you a whole new person! Sure you mostly look the same, but you have a new heart with new desires! You want to study God's word (the Bible) and obey God. You love and trust Him because of His love for you! You know He is good! Having been brought from everlasting death to everlasting life, you can't contain your thankfulness and it spills out all over the place! This is the Holy Spirit conforming you to the character of Christ. It continually shows you that you really are saved, not because of what you do but because in Christ you have been adopted as a child of God!

John 3:3
"Jesus answered and said to him, 'Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.'"

John 1:12-13
"But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name, who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God."

Ezekiel 36:26
"Moreover, I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; and I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh."

Jeremiah 24:7
"I will give them
heart to know Me, for I am the Lord; and they will be My people, and I will be their God, for they will return to Me with their whole heart."

Matthew 12:33
"'Either make the tree good and its fruit good, or make the tree bad and its fruit bad; for the tree is known by its fruit.'"

2 Corinthians 5:17
"Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come."

No matter what, you can’t lose your salvation! God will never leave you!

John 10:27-30
"My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me; and I give eternal life to them, and they will never perish; and no one will snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand. I and the Father are one."

Romans 8:38-39
"For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."

Romans 8:28
"And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose."

Jeremiah 29:11
"'For I know the plans that I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope.'"

Deuteronomy 31:6
“Be strong and courageous, do not be afraid or tremble at them, for the Lord your God is the one who goes with you. He will not fail you or forsake you.”
